Welcome to Okinawa!  If you are new to the island and looking for a church home, consider joining us at the Chibana Church of Christ!  Below is some information that you may be interested in as you adjust to Okinawa or plan a move to this side of the world!

Where is the church building?

• The building is located about a mile straight out of Gate #3, Kadena Air Base.  The building is blue and white, two-story, and located on the right side of the road.  Please check Map to the Church Building for more specific information, or click here to let us know if you need help with transportation.

What is Chibana like?

• Chibana is made up of a diverse group of English-speaking believers, mainly those stationed on Okinawa as a part of their military service in the US Air Force or the US Marine Corps.  Chibana also hosts a small Japanese-speaking congregation in its building, the Logos Church of Christ, with the goal of aiding and furthering its outreach to the local community.

What kind of denomination is the Church of Christ?

• We are not trying to be a particular denomination- we would rather simply be Christians!  But we understand you may want to know more about our fellowship, beliefs, and practices.  Check out the What We Believe page and the Churches of Christ according to Wikipedia link (on the Web Links page) for more information.

What is Okinawa like?

• Okinawa is a beautiful island surrounded by clear Pacific waters, coral reefs, and white beaches.  The island never goes below approx. 45 degrees F in the winter, and has a mild climate year-round.  It is a beautiful place with friendly people, making it a great place to live and raise a family!  For more specific information about Okinawa, see the Web Links page for websites which are very helpful for learning about this wonderful island!
